Dean Foundation is currently seeking participants for five depression studies.
Trapped in the cycle of Depression?
If you have been previously diagnosed with depression and have tried at least two antidepressant medications without success, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study.Dean Foundation is conducting a medication study for treatment resistant depression in people between the ages 18-65 years old. If you qualify, all study related care and medication will be provided to you at no cost. Compensation for travel is available.

Depression with Pain
If you are suffering from depression, you know how emotionally painful it can be. Many people experience unexplained aches and pains as well. We are studying an antidepressant to find out if it reduces the pain associated with depression. You may be eligible to participate if you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Are experiencing feelings of depression
- Are experiencing some aches and pains
- Are able to visit the doctor’s office 7 times in 10 weeks
Additional criteria will be assessed by the study doctor to confirm your eligibility. All study medications and study related care will be provided to you at not cost and reimbursement for travel will be provided.

Bipolar Depression
Have you been diagnosed with bipolar disorder?
Do you currently have feelings of depression?
- Feeling down?
- Hopeless?
- Anxious?
- Not enjoying life?
You may be eligible for a paid clinical trial studying the effectiveness of an investigational medication for bipolar depression.

Recurrent Major Depressive Disorder
Do you feel depressed?
Announcing a medical research study for people with depression.
Depression isn’t just feelings of sadness – it can affect the way you see the world. Your body may feel constantly fatigued, and your mind may dwell on thoughts of worthlessness and guilt. If you are currently depressed and not taking an antidepressant, you may qualify for a medical research study to determine the effectiveness and safety of an investigational medication for Major Depressive Disorder. If you qualify, you’ll receive investigational study medication, study-related medical exams, and lab tests at no charge. Financial compensation for time and travel may also be available. Major Depressive Disorder
Have you been diagnosed with Major Depression?
If your depression has not improved with your current medication, you may want to consider this research study.
We are currently enrolling patients for a clinical research trial to assess whether a new investigational drug may be useful, safe and well tolerated for the treatment of major depression.
You may be able to participate in the study if:
- You are between 18-65 years of age
- You have a current diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder
- Your depression has not improved with the treatment you are currently receiving
Additional criteria will be assessed by the study doctor to confirm your eligibility for this study.
Qualified participants will receive:
- Study related care and health exams at no cost
- Study medication at no cost
