Every Ride a Safe Ride
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading causes of unintentional injury-related deaths among children 14 and under. Despite the existence of child occupant protection laws in all 50 states, riding unrestrained continues to be the primary threat to young passengers in our country.
Dean Foundation offers the Every Ride a Safe Ride program to promote child passenger safety and educate the public to ride safe. Through this program you can:
- Rent car seats for children
- Receive free car seat inspections for drivers who have their own child safety seat
- Obtain restraints for children with special transportation needs
Car Seat Rental
Renting a car seat is easy and affordable! To rent a crash-tested, government approved child safety seat, drivers must first attend a one-hour instruction and installation session with Dean Foundation’s Child Passenger Safety Educator. The instruction and installation sessions are offered on Wednesday nights. Once the class is completed the cost to rent a car seat is just:
- $5 per six months, plus
- $15 refundable deposit payable at time of rental (click below for rental terms and conditions)
