Middleton Teen Clinic
The Middleton Teen Clinic was founded in 2004 by Kathy and Peter Karofsky to aid students without access to a primary physician. Originally opened to service teens in high school, the clinic has expanded its reach to middle schoolers.
The Mission

To serve Middleton High School, Middleton Alternative High School (MASH), Kromrey Middle School and Glacier Creek Middle School students by providing the following free services:
- Comprehensive examinations for school and sports
- Treatment for physical and mental illnesses and injuries
- Therapy for sexual issues including sexually transmitted diseases and birth control
The Vision
To meet the immediate needs of patients without providing continuity of care. We are a temporary resource for teens in the Middleton-Cross Plains school district whether or not they have medical insurance.
The Service
To provide accessible care for students. The clinic operates from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m on Monday and Tuesdays when school is in session.
Appointments for the clinic are made for students by school nurses, school social workers and psychologists, athletic directors, principals, and guidance counselors at the request of the student or their parents.
Students who need to see the doctor must have one of these faculty members make their appointments for them.
The Donors
The Middleton Teen Clinic is funded by private donations from citizens in Massachusetts and Wisconsin, by the city of Middleton, by donations from Middleton and Cross Plains businesses and service organizations and by in-kind support from Dean Foundation. The medical director, Dr. Peter Karofsky, is a long-time Middleton resident and professor emeritus of the University of Wisconsin Medical School.
