Interpreter Services

Dean Clinic is dedicated to enabling effective communication between their employees and patients who have limited English proficiency (LEP) or who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Face-to-face, telephonic and video medical interpreters are available to assist with communication and ensure quality language access. There is no cost to the patient or family for interpretation.

New Staff ASL Interpreter

We would like to introduce our new ASL interpreter, Patty Klabunde.

Patty completed her Interpreter Training Program at UW-Milwaukee and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 2008. She earned her National Interpreter Certification (NIC) in 2010 and has interpreted in the Milwaukee area, as well as for hospitals and clinics in North Carolina.

Video Remote Interpreting Available

Starting in January 2012, Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) access was extended to four locations, including Dean's three Urgent Care locations:

• Dean Clinic - East
• Dean Clinic - West
• Dean Clinic - Janesville East
• Dean Clinic - Delavan

This new VRI network will offer you access to certified interpreters on demand, with no advanced notice required. The mobile video units can move with you from check-in to your exam room, as well as to lab and medical imaging.
